First Place Win for Elm Place Students at International Competition
Middle schoolers partnered with Jordanian students to form Operation Tefkiir, which stands for "think" in Arabic, reported the Highland Park News.
Elm Place Middle School students, along with partner students from Jordan, took home two special awards from the International Future Problem Solving competition, held June 6-10 in Indiana, reported the Highland Park News.
The team placed first in the Community Problem Solving Middle Division Education category and also received the coveted Dr. E. Paul Torrance Beyonder Award, according to the newspaper.
