Highland Park's Robotics Team Heads to World Championships

Highland Park's Beastie Bots add another win in their column as they get ready for the World Championships in late April.

The information below comes from Highland Park High School.

At the Northern Illinois Tournament -- 17 matches over 4 months -- Two Highland Park High School teams - the 3785-Beastie Bots and 5451- Da Big Meks -- were ranked #2 and #4 after 17 rounds of play.

The Beastie Bots-3785 joined with 5200-from Barrington - That's A Good Question and Michigan’s 5385 the Riddlers to make a dream team for a run at the Northern Illinois Tournament Championship.

The Beastie Bots were the Illinois state Champion, That's A Good Question won Wisconsin State, and the Riddlers were the Inspire winner from Michigan.

Da Big Meks fought hard and took the semi-finals to three matches before losing to host team RoboTitans, Cinci Wolves, and the Southside Chicago team Crazy Eights.

This formable alliance gave That's A Good Question, Beastie Bots, and the Riddlers a nail biting series of matches. In the third match, the RoboTitans robot tipped over and that unfortunate event paved the way for an easy win. The Beastie Bots add another win in their column as they get ready for the World Championships in late April.
