Vinccino’s Wins 113 Foundation Pizza Bowl

Vinccino’s Pizzeria in Highland Park was voted the best pizza in both Deerfield and Highland Park Sunday at the annual Township High School District 113 Foundation Pizza Bowl at Highland Park High School.

More than 150 people sampled cheese pizza from not only Viccino’s, but also Domino’s, Il Forno of Deerfield, Il Forno of Highland Park, Lou Malnati’s and New York Slices while listening to student musicians from both Highland Park and Deerfield High Schools.

The real winners were the students of the two District 113 schools. The money going to the foundation will be used for innovation in learning, according to Foundation co chair Barb Sereda.
