Dream Comes True for Highland Park Entrepreneur
Inspired by Michael Jordan, Defining Moments opens in downtown Highland Park offering sports oriented shoes and clothing.
When he was five-years-old, Angelo Turcanu went shopping with his grandfather who bought him a pair of Air Jordan shoes. It began a tradition and started a dream.
That dream came to fruition today on First Street in downtown Highland Park when Turcanu opened the doors of his new store, Defining Moments, offering sneakers and theme related clothing.
“It feels really good, absolutely fantastic, to see my dream unfold and come true,” Turcanu said.

With a large screen television for customers to enjoy sports related programming, Defining Moments will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays.
