Dine In with Dinner Discount, Dine Out with Picnic Baskets

Ravinia, Chicago's "sound of summer" is the place on the North Shore to meet up with friends and hear some of the greatest music in the world. The 2012 season starts tomorrow, Thursday, June 7 and Benjamin restaurant in downtown Highland Park is gearing up with two great ways to celebrate: a 15-percent off day-of concert dine-in offer, as well as convenient, grab-and-go picnic baskets.

Benjamin is offering Ravinia ticket holders a day-of-concert dining discount, perfect for enjoying a pre- or post-show meal. Concert goers will receive a 15-percent discount in the dining room between 5-6 p.m. or 9 p.m.-close (simply show your server your Ravinia ticket upon ordering).  

For those looking to lounge on the lawn with a custom-made, gourmet picnic basket, Chef Benjamin Brittsan offers to-go packages. Ravinia-bound picnickers may choose a basket of edibles that feeds either 1-2 people ($40) or 3-4 people ($60). Chef Brittsan will pack such selections as charcuterie and cheese, pâtés, potato salad, pasta salad, cold sandwiches, and roasted vegetables. There is a one-time basket fee of $35; bring back your basket for a 10-percent discount on future picnic orders. Ravinia baskets are available for same day purchase, please call the restaurant at least one hour prior to pick up.
