Giant Golf Star Makes College Choice

Highland Park High School's Patrick Flavin will play golf for Miami University in Ohio next year.

Highland Park High School golf star Patrick Flavin signed a national letter of intent Wednesday to compete for Miami University in Ohio next year, according to Giant Athletic Director Matt Castle.

Placing eighth in the State Meet last month, Flavin is ready for the next level, according to Coach Paul Harris. “Patrick's love for the game of golf is evident,” Harris said. “He has worked incredibly hard to become the player he is today. Miami of Ohio is getting a fine young man and a great competitor.”

Flavin believes his experience both as a student and athlete at Highland Park has prepared him for Miami.
