If you're planning your end of summer vacation, here are some travel games to keep the kids busy during your travels.

Written by Sue Kirchner

Summer’s not over yet and if you are like me, you wait to take your summer family vacation in August. Ours is coming up and I wanted to make sure I had some good travel games to keep the kids busy both on the plane and in the car. Here were three kids travel games that I found that I loved. (Don’t head out for vacation without checking out these sanity-saving Family Travel tips first.)

I love this baseball game that can make out of an old Altoids tin. Roll the dice and get on base or get out. Since the pieces stay in the tin it’s a perfect game for an airplane, car, or even waiting at restaurants. Plaidonline.com gives you all of the instructions and it’s easy enough that even I can make it.

This printable travel bingo is one of the cutest that I have seen. You can download the cards and pieces from Simplemom.net, print on cardstock, and viola, instant fun.

License Plate Fun

The DatingDivas.com created some super cute Road Trip Printables that you can use as snack bag toppers. I really liked their License Plate game printable but don’t miss their Road Trip Countdown cards. What a fun idea!

What are some of your favorite ideas to keep the kids amused while traveling?
