Youth Baseball Teams Have Winning Weekend

Check out the results from the Park Districts' Giants Travel Baseball teams games from Memorial Day weekend.

Memorial Day brought about a hot streak for the Giant’s Travel Baseball teams.

Four of the travel divisions had winning weekends. Here are some of the highlights. PDHP’s 9-year-old Giants participated in the Libertyville Memorial Day Tournament and went 3-1 with wins over Lake Forest, Libertyville and Deerfield. The team lost in the semi-finals to the Oak Park Eagles 6-8.

The Park District's 10 year olds participated and won the Vernon Hills Spring “B” Tournament. The Giants went undefeated with wins against Palatine, Lake Forest, Evanston and Vernon Hills. They won the division beating Palatine in the championship game with a final score of 11-4.   

The 11-year-old Blue travel team also participated in the Vernon Hills Spring “B” Tournament. The team went 2-1 with wins against Evanston and Vernon Hills. They lost in the championship game to the Northwest Travelers with a final score of 3-11.

The 11-year-old White travel team participated in the Elk Grove Memorial Day Tournament winning the eleven year old division with a win against Elk Grove.
