Few Highland Park Restaurants Open Christmas

People in Highland Park will need to have their Christmas dinner shopping done by 6 p.m. Tuesday when the area’s grocery stores close but there will be some restaurants open for those dining out Christmas Day.

All locations for Sunset Foods, Jewel-Osco, and Whole foods as well as the Bannockburn Dominick’s will close for the holiday at 6 p.m. Tuesday and be closed Christmas Day. Walgreens will be open.

For those who wish to dine out Wednesday, Highland Park will have options with Yummy Bowl, Little Szechwan, Jade China Bistro, Max’s and Denny’s all serving meals.

Max’s will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Both Little Szechwan and Jade China Bistro will open at 11 a.m. with Little Szechwan closing at 9 p.m. and Jade at 10 p.m. Yummy Bowl will be open from 4 to 9 p.m. All four places will offer take out survey. Denny’s is open 24 hours a day every day.
