Moraine Food Pantry Needs Turkeys

Moraine Township Food Pantry lacks turkeys for some of its patrons' Thanksgiving tables.

How would you like to help one of your neighbors have a traditional Thanksgiving meal?

It’s easy.

All you have to do is bring a turkey to the Moraine Township Food Pantry Monday and it will wind up in the hands of one of the depository’s patrons when they arrive for the regular pick up Tuesday.

“If people bring us turkeys on Monday we’ll give them out on Tuesday,” Moraine Township Supervisor Anne Bassi said. She has given out all the turkeys which have been donated and seeks more. Other people have been getting chicken.

Bassi was thrilled with a large gift of fresh produce she received recently. “They’re going to use it for their Thanksgiving meal,” she said.
