The selection is great, the prices above average (but the stuff is unique, so you get what you pay for). However, my experience with the service is that it's very poor.
I haven't been in the store for perhaps 5 or 6 years because the last time I went there to buy a gift basket for an old and dear friend who just had a baby - I got snubbed by the counter staff.
Maybe it's the fact that I got a phone call about my friend having a baby as I was heading off to a landscape nursery to pick up some flowers and sod for my garden and I was dressed for that job, or maybe the staff is just a bunch of pretentious jerks, or maybe they had a bad day. I don't know.
What I do know is that I immediately left, drove up to Sweet's in Lake Forest, and they set me up with a fantastic basket that my friends loved.
Guess where I've spent my money on gift baskets, candied pretzels and similar foodstuffs for the past 6 years?
