Drawn on eyebrows and a heavy coat on the the lower lid, that's just wrong!LOL Not as wrong asRead More trying to pin it on your 12 year old daughter though, that's just scandalous!

Dan Cox are you F*%$ing kidding me? Liberals are protecting Chief Keef??!!! You are moreRead More protecting him with your gun b*llsh!t all over the patch - Liberals want more regulations on guns, not less. Get your conceal carry card Yet???
Dan Cox April 13, 2014 at 01:05 pm
The people who want more gun regulations... fail to enforce the ones that already exist! WantingRead More more laws and no enforcing the ones already on the books is liken to the worst kind of ignorance. Chief Keef should have been shot by the Cop he pulled a gun on, problem child solved!
RRR April 16, 2014 at 09:35 am
No conceal carry permit yet, huh Dan Cox? I'm betting you are having a bit of trouble with it, atRead More least that's what I heard.

Sound like the Judge set a low bond, that why he was out, even with his past convictions. If peopleRead More only new what low bonds some Judges give out on serious charges, specially in CROOK COUNTY,IL.

She stated her opinion not necessarily factual. It is far from libelous.
David April 6, 2014 at 06:00 pm
Gee Stu, how can I ever thank you for reminding me I'm not a lawyer. Boy it's a good thing I put aRead More question mark after my statement so you didn't think I was trying to get away with misrepresenting myself. Who knows what you might have done besides calling me a bad name? Perhaps get a call from your mommy? Your infantile mind (notice, I didn't call you an infant) totally missed the grown up point that it was inappropriate for the author of the comment to publicly suggest that an already grieving widow was guilty of neglect and cause of her husband's death.
Benny G. April 6, 2014 at 09:52 pm
Agree David- It was more in bad taste than libelous. There is not much anyone can do with a severRead More dementia patient that "wanders off." What's amazing is nobody saw this gentleman and rendered help. The only way to treat this stage of dementia is 24 hour "lock down" and/or monitoring. I am sure the family is second guessing that day and certainly does not need any insult added to injury at this point.

Rico Suave April 6, 2014 at 07:24 pm People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only becauseRead More rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf. Remember this Benny G and all you other scum sucking Liberals out there. The police in these ghetto areas are chasing them down every night in an attempt to keep them from coming into your so called safe areas. Appreciate their sacrifices and don't give this white Fucktard the time of day. Hey Kenneth! Love teh comments... Who else would say fucktard on here?
Frank G. April 11, 2014 at 11:50 am
Benny G. I think you hate the police because your dad was a abusive cop who poked you in the assRead More when you were growing up.
Benny G. April 11, 2014 at 12:46 pm
Frankala, I was sloppy seconds to your ripe hole. He was a tiger, huh...LOL Donna the residentRead More "split tail" comment bag- Go iron my shirts and STFU...LOL

@ knee jerk. Although the upper limit IQ for officers is 105, the target IQ is between 94-98. TheRead More average IQ of a U.S. citizen is 100. Whenever you are speaking to a police officer, you are most likely speaking to someone with an IQ considerably Lower than your own. Please remember to speak slowly, always try to limit the amount of syllables in each word to less than three, and try not to laugh... Cuz They get Really Paranoid. Must be the drugs.
Magilla Gorilla April 12, 2014 at 07:28 am
@ Santaella. Robots, Droids or whatever you want to call 'em. They want programmable individuals whoRead More will NOT hesitate to KILL. At some point, Robocops are coming to your town.

Does anything happen in Darien anymore?! I never see any articles about anything happening inRead More Darien, the Lion's Club pancake breakfast, the armed robberies at the gas stations, the 75th St. construction, city council budget, anything Darien related! How can you call this the Darien Patch when there is nothing about Darien in. Every other town or city has a Patch site that has articles related to their town. We get lazy editors who just copy and paste from other news sites.
Kelly O' March 30, 2014 at 06:17 pm
You don't have a lot of crime in Darien. Thank your lucky stars.
Dennis Robaugh (Editor) March 30, 2014 at 11:13 pm
@Bambi: OMGPD is a feature that recounts some of the more unusual crime stories in the Chicago-areaRead More suburbs. It's appeared weekly in your Deerfield Patch for about 2 years. @Adam West: I will email you directly with more information about Darien Patch, one of the Patches in the region that has been without a full-time editor for the last year.

Benny G. April 3, 2014 at 02:25 am
Utter avoidable tragedy- Anyone that kills himself and his daughter and looks like that----is aRead More D-Bag. This is my opinion. It certainly is not factual.
Donna Smith April 3, 2014 at 07:39 am
What's a D-Bag Benny G.? Spell the word out for us. Actually why don't you give us the trueRead More definition of the word D-Bag so we can form a "factual" opinion as to who the real D-Bag is here.

No way will any of my rights be surrendered or compromised because of criminals. Control criminalsRead More and these problems will go away. DUI should be attempted murder.

If the people of Northbrook had any guts they'd throw the bums out.
Sosa March 28, 2014 at 06:30 am
@john in the picture chief keef was never holding the ak it was fredo, these allegations are goingRead More to be thrown out on all counts. Any felon can post a picture with a firearm. Who's to say it isn't fake ? There's loop holes to everything. I feel your being way to patriotic and narrow sighted on this topic. Your the type of guy to call the cops for anything I'm assuming.

Auroran April 4, 2014 at 01:58 pm
Actually, today (April 4th) she WAS fired. However, I find it a great example of ridiculous unionRead More rules that it took them this long to do so.
Tom RS. April 5, 2014 at 09:13 am
She will have cost all us taxpayers a lot of money when this is all done. Millions in lawsuits andRead More probably a million plus in repairs to the system. I could be wrong, but maybe a little more training and evaluation needs to be implemented before someone is turned loose at the controls...
Elizabeth Colvin March 26, 2014 at 09:34 pm
Another mentally disturbed person needs to be punished . I wonder if we had the eye for eye thereRead More would be less crime.

Ed60062 March 25, 2014 at 08:57 am
I say absolutely not. It presupposes that people will read the ads which creates another diversionRead More for drivers. Someone will be reading an ad and not see the next emergency vehicle, another vehicle, a pedestrian, etc. If on fire equipment, police equipment will be next. Then what happens when an ad sponsor commits a crime--will a cop be reluctant to arrest the person funding the department?
sklogw March 25, 2014 at 02:50 pm
How are people supposed to see the ads? Don't trucks usually have to drive fast to get to emergency?Read More I say go for it if the advertisers don't mind wasting money on ads that will probably not be seen. LOL
