One of the most popular Chicago Bears is now calling it quits, according to CBS Chicago.
Chicago Bears veteran of 13 years Brian Urlacher officially retired Wednesday morning, according to CBS Chicago. The 34-year-old linebacker says he has no regrets ending a professional career playing exclusively for the Chicago Bears. “Although I could continue playing, I’m not sure I would bring a level of performance or passion that’s up to my standards,” Urlacher told CBS news. "When considering this, along with the fact that I could retire after a 13 year career wearing only one jersey for such a storied franchise, my decision became pretty clear.” Urlacher recently made news in March when he couldn’t strike a new contract deal with the Bears—claiming the one-year, $2 million offer was “a slap in the face.” What's your reaction to …

The Chicago Bears have announced ticket prices for the 2013 season. Invoices are scheduled to be sent to season ticket holders beginning Wednesday with full payment due by Friday, April 5, according to www.chicagobears.com. Price increases range from $3 to $10 for 90 percent of the seating bowl, with some United Club seats remaining flat. Lower-level mid-field seating price increases range from $15 to $30. The overall average increase for 2013 season tickets is 4.2 percent. Non-club season ticket prices now range from $79 to $165 and account for approximately 85 percent of the seating at Soldier Field. United Club season tickets range from $265 to $540. Season ticket holders will continue to see a $25 per game savings for each regular …

Media outlets reporting that the Chicago Bears have hired Marc Trestman as the team's head coach bringing a new face to Halas Hall.
The Chicago Bears have hired Marc Trestman of the Montreal Alouettes as its new head coarch, the Chicago Tribune reported. Although Trestman worked in the NFL for years as an offensive coordinator and quarterback coach, he has been in Canada for the last five years. Trestman led the Alouettes to back-to-back Grey Cup Championships and compiled a 64-34 record, the Tribune reported. Trestman worked with the Oakland Raiders and quarterback Rich Gannon in 2002, the year Gannon won the MVP. He was too old and broken to keep playing, and that was proved very true by the free agent market for him, which was next to nothing. He could have still played, but not how he wanted to.
