Authorities in Las Vegas say Edward C. Brandt of Lake Forest shot a 30-year-old concierge desk worker at a casino hotel before killing himself Friday, according to the Chicago Tribune. Jessica Corinne Kenny of Las Vegas was shot at the Excalibur resort, where she worked as the concierge desk worker for the travel website Vegas.com, ABC 7 News in Chicago reported on Monday. Brandt, 31, then shot himself in the head. Police said the two may have dated once, but a motive in the shooting was unclear, according to the Tribune article. Kenny was a 2000 graduate of Grayslake High School, according to the Daily Herald.
