Does your pet love Halloween? Okay, let's rephrase that. Do you love Halloween and does your pet love you so much that they'll play along? If so, and you got your critter into costume, please share your photos with us. If the gallery doesn't satisfy your hunger to see pets in costume, check out this great video from last year's Spooky Pooch Parade at the Chicago Botanic Gardens. Were you there this year?

It is undeniably autumn, which means it's pumpkin time. Did you carve a particularly menacing jack-o-lantern this year, have a shot of your kids at a pumpkin patch or are you simply pleased with the fetching fruit you picked out at the market? Have you already put your pumpkin to good use as a delicious pie or creamy soup? Take a photo! Then share those photos with Patch in our photo gallery. (Use the photo uploader on the right or email it to your local editor.)

Looking for some inspiration on where to get terrified this Halloween season? How about a haunted house where scenes from horror movies are re-enacted in a two-story maze? Or a tour of a haunted prison? FrightQuest, a new interactive map from MapQuest, has a list of Halloween activities in both the Chicago-area (incuding the two spooky options above), and state-by-state maps that include one for Illinois. For those who prefer their Halloween fun on the less scary side, there are also pumpkin carvings and parades. There are three destinations listed per area, so there's plenty they missed, such as Morton Grove's new Fear City. Let us know where you go to get your scary fix this time of year.

Chicagoland's newest haunted house provides 40,000-square-feet of thrills, laughs, and scares

"Probably the best I've ever been to." Fear City has been in the works for the last 18 months, but it wasn't until the beginning of September that the crew moved into their empty warehouse on Austin Avenue to begin putting everything together for opening night on Oct. 1. Earlier: Get Your Halloween Frights Early at Fear City "It's pretty incredible to go from construction in a shop down on the west side of Chicago to 40,000 square feet of hauntertainment," said Dennis Grimes, Fear City's Director of Acting. "You can't make that happen without a…
