Highland Park Chamber to Host Informational Meeting on China Trip

The Highland Park Chamber of Commerce is offering a trip to China in October. There will be an informational meeting with an opportunity for registration, on Tuesday, Feb. 26 at the Highland Park Public Library.

Chamber of Commerce Throws Holiday Party

Mayor Nancy Rotering joined State Sen. Susan Garrett, city council candidates and Highland Park business owners at the Chamber of Commerce's 101st annual meeting last Thursday.

The Highland Park Chamber of Commerce held its Holiday Celebration and 101st Annual Meeting last Thursday at Lexus of Highland Park. Guests included Highland Park business owners as well as Mayor Nancy Rotering, Councilman Daniel Kaufman and City Council candidates Carolyn Cerf and Alyssa Knobel.  Food was provided by Highland Park spots like Real Urban Barbecue, Moderno and Sunset Foods. VIDEO: Garden Festival Showcases Local Artists

Festival draws hundreds to kick off weekend events in downtown Highland Park.

The city was in full bloom Saturday to celebrate the first-ever Highland Park Garden Festival in Port Clinton Square. Local artists and musicians displayed their talents from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and attendees enjoyed workshops on floral arrangements as well as a  question-and-answer session with a panel of gardening experts. Packets of seeds were given away as well as gift cards from local businesses. The event was held by the Downtown Highland Park Alliance, an organization made up of the Downtown Property Owners Association, the Highland Park Chamber of Commerce and the City of Highland Park. “I have a major passion for gardening,” said event manager Wendy Gimbel. “Every weekend [my husband and I] are out there for hours on end.” Some of the …
