Peapod Opens Deerfield Drive Through Location

Shoppers can now get same day service.

Online grocery supplier Peapod became Deerfield’s newest business Tuesday when it opened a drive-through facility at 677 Lake Cook Road near Deerlake Road enabling shoppers to save the delivery charge. The Deerfield location is the second one for the company. Earlier: Deerfield To Pioneer Peapod Innovation As long as people place an order by 10 a.m. it will be available at the former bank adjacent to the Lake Cook Road Metra train station by 4 p.m. the same day, according to Peapod Public Relations Manager Elana Margolis. Deerfield gets no sales tax revenue for this at all. Why promote a business that provides nothing for your community but increased costs to you. The perceived savings are not real, you will just pay in other ways like in your real estate taxes. At least Jewel contributes to help the Village and community.   more ›
