School Cancelled Wednesday for Districts 112 and 113

Tuesday after-school programs also cancelled.

School has been cancelled for District 113 and District 112 students on Wednesday. Deerfield and Highland Park High School students will be dismissed early at 1 p.m. on Tuesday. District 112 schools will be in session Tuesday until regular dismissal times. All after-school activities for District 112 and 113 are cancelled, as is the District 112 Board of Education meeting.  Deerfield and Highland Park High School officials are requiring all cars be removed from the school’s parking lot for plowing. Any that remain will be towed. Carl - just so you know the reasoning (as many people have asked me this same question) - it is because many students drive themselves home from the High School, and that being said, do not have as much experience driving as the parents who pick up from 112. Also, the way HPHS and DHS are set up, it takes quite a bit of time to empty the school. Around 30-45 minutes. Make everyone stay until 3, …   more ›
