The Lake County Sheriff’s Office announced today it will conduct special patrols this Super Bowl weekend cracking down on drunk drivers and seat belt law violators. “We are reminding everyone that if you choose to drink and drive in Lake County this weekend, you will lose,” said Sheriff Mark Curran. “If you plan on drinking alcohol while cheering on your team, pass your keys to a sober driver before the Super Bowl party begins. Thank goodness that's finally over. By that I mean "the big game,"or what most of us who aren't worried about trademark infringement call "Super Bowl Sunday." This year, an estimated 111 million humans sat in front of large rectangles for four hours and observed roughly eleven minutes of actual on-the-field activity. The New York Giants emerged victorious for the fourth time, instilling excitement and pride in the five boroughs and leaving the rest of the country wondering whether this was all worth avoiding a lockout. Let's face it, for at least 50 percent of the aforementioned humans, Super Bowl Sunday is about entertainment.
