CLC Seeks Volunteers for Martin Luther King Day of Service
The College of Lake County is hoping to enlist upwards of 250 area residents to volunteer in partnership with the United Way of Lake County for the Martin Luther King Day of Service on Saturday, Feb. 2. Are you in?
To celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the College of Lake County, in partnership with United Way of Lake County, is seeking up to 250 volunteers to work on several service projects on Saturday, Feb. 2 that help increase educational opportunities in local communities. Volunteers age 10 and above are invited to volunteer as are family groups, church and youth groups, scout groups and CLC staff and students. Registration is from 7:45 a.m. to 8 a.m. in room C005 (C Wing Auditorium) on the CLC Grayslake campus, 19351 W. Washington St., in Grayslake. What a wonderful thing to teach your children to be compassionate, giving, and kind.Through the Wilkovs' effort, low income children will have access to books. My daughter was in a class with one of their children who was just the nicest child. It was no surprise then to read the article about their charitable efforts.   more ›
