More than 300 people enjoyed an evening of gambling and sampled cuisine from local restaurants to raise funds in support of College Bound Opportunities, a local nonprofit that helps low-income youth.
College Bound Opportunities recently accepted 28 students from Deerfield, Highland Park, and Lake Forest high schools. Without CBO, many of these students would be unable to attend college.
Bonnie Shlensky of Deerfield was recognized along with 34 Gap employees for her work with College Bound Opportunities by the Gap Foundation out of more than 130,000 employees worldwide.
A new report shows that a college degree is critical to securing a job today. Learn how College Bound Opportunities is making this happen for local kids.
