ReplyI was shocked that Damen and Fullerton wasn't on the list. Southbound traffic on Damen has a longer light than northbound traffic and there is no left turn arrow, which means every single light, someone is left stranded in the middle of the intersection on red, many with no understanding that oncoming traffic still has a green. I have personally almost been in two accidents at that intersection. I had no idea that the Ridge and Grove intersection was so bad.

ReplyHi Fran, thanks for writing in. Unfortunately, that is just beyond Evanston's borders, otherwise I would have included it. Those Apple pancakes and cheesy hash browns are excellent.

Very true, rlbowser, that the food is different, but in a strange way, American-Chinese cuisine has taken on a life of its own. Plus, I hear many Chinese restaurants in America have "secret menus" -- or at least secret from people who don't have knowledge of more traditional Chinese cooking. I'd be interested to know whether any of the spots in Evanston have something like that. Thanks for writing!

Do you think you would still buy the 10-ticket out of convenience? Or would it be an inconvenience now, considering you could lose the bundled ticket?
