Dispute Erupts in Highland Park, Two Arrested

The following arrest information was supplied by the Highland Park Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Battery

Sergio Gomez-Guevara, 27 and Erick Gomez-Guevara, 24, both of Highland Park were arrested Friday and charged with battery after police responded to a report of a dispute in the 600 block of Central Avenue, according to Highland Park Police reports. They were released on bond and are scheduled to appear in Lake County Court Nov. 13 in Park City.

Police are investigating a report Sunday of red spray paint with disparaging words painted on the North side of the Vine Avenue underpass near Green Bay Road and Vine Avenue.

Edgar Barrera, 20, of Highland Park was arrested Oct. 14 and charged with driving while license suspended, uninsured motor vehicle and no valid registration after being stopped by police near Half Day Road and Point Lane, according to Highland Park Police reports. He was released on bond and are scheduled to appear in Lake County Court Nov. 27 in Park City.
