Highland Park Considers Homebrew License Proposal

The city's liquor commission are considering a new type of liquor ordinance to accommodate homebrew and fermenting hobbyists.

The city’s liquor license recently heard from resident Michael Buss who hopes to unveil North Shore Brewing Supply in August and the proposed language of the liquor code would allow retail beer sale as part of homebrewing classes or demonstrations to customers, tastings of beer that were brewed on site, storage of beer during its fermentation process on the premises and delivery of the finished beer for customers to consume off site, the newspaper reported.
